Tessie got a new eye! Testing the Raymarine FLIR M300C lowlight and zoom camera.
Просмотров 49 тыс.Месяц назад
Check out the Tessie's new enhanced vision as Raymarine let me test their FLIR M300C low light and 30 x zoom camera. This is a big lift for my singlehanded navigation. The camera sits 4 meter up the mast on its Scanstrut support bracket, and is connected to my 3 x Axiom chartplotters. The camera is gyro stabilised, meaning keep the camera lens still while the boat is moving around in the waves....

Check out ZOLEO satellite communicator: www.zoleo.com Enjoy the final chapter of "Sailing around Scotland". I departed Inverness and decided to stop by the remote city of Fraserburgh, as not to many sailors come here. I was surprised to learn that that The Museum of Scottish Lighthouses was situated here, and so happy to visit, as I love everything about lighthouses. Then it was back across the...

Forget huge, stormy oceans for a while, and just enjoy the peace and calmness of a 5 day inshore sailing along mountains, still waters and the most beautiful nature Scotland has to offer. Me and Silje got invited to Genova, Italy, in June, to join the spectacular event. We were there when the worlds fastest monohulls arrived for the last leg of The Ocean Race. I’m glad you were at dock when you heart your back😅
nice, looks like you’ve got this ! Enjoy ! safe travels! 👀🤘
That's not that bad of a storm
The camera never shows how big those waves really are. Those waves are "Oh my God" size for a sail boat.
I love the North Sea so much one of my favorite seas
Salam kenal dari Indonesia ❤
The thing about this is that usually in a panic like this you can just turn the power off but in this situation you just have to hope and pray you live
Great video again. Thanks for sharing the big beautiful ferocious North Atlantic. Places to be included in every serious sailor's destinations.
Scary and Peaceful
Where is land.
This is incredible man. I’ve been watching your videos for three years and it is what made me get a boat. I live in the Pacific Northwest I bought a 32 foot. These videos make me think about people hundreds or thousands of years ago and how they must have felt doing this
I make bigger waves in my bath tub 😂
As a 17-teen year old sailor from Poland (I only sail on Mazury Lakes), I love how you make the dreams come true. It is my aim to have my own boat and do that kind of crazy things. Just by watching this video, I want to leave everything and sail away.
Amazing. 3rd world problems. Never complain.
Crazy Basterd! This guy is a ruthless sailor, channel name fits perfectly!!!
Just as long as you don't go faster than the waves 😊
Is this technology gives bonus comparing to medieval boats?
How long did it take you to get to shore?
Not as bad as it seems, swells with minor breaks at the crests, navigated in much worse than this.
Not as bad as it seems, they are swells with minor breaks at the crests, not a big deal, seen much worse than this.
40.000 dollars but you got a new boat.
Should have use a spring getting off that harbour wall. Spilt diesel or smoke might have been the cause of your seasickness. Take my hat off. Would have stayed in my rented accom. and sleep the storm off.
Only a dutchman is crazy enough
That viking bullshit went down the drain 😂 I love this guy he's nuts very nice boat I've watched all his videos
Crazy Basterd!
Go Tessee!!!
Great installation! Amazing camera.
Eric, I am a fan of your Adventures. I love it to see you sailing. I am also a sailor, and I have a boat. Its a Emka 29 HT. I dont know if you know this type of boat. It is an IOR Boat. I am often sailing inshore and offshore in the baltic sea. But I never had water inside the Boat. Even when the waves came over. Why do you have the problem with so much water in the boat?
Hi Erik. I can go enside your net. In Catalonia everybody is in hacked attack. Hope you are doing ok. I go to formentera. Have some income. Where are you? I can t with Barcelona after Corsica. Superhugs. Searching the way to leave to Australia and new Zealand but still nothing about marine life studies. Monika Castells Estella***
Bare når du går ut i feil vær
Watched it again. Saved a copy for easy access.
That is a great device to have on your vessel but the alarm doesn't go off soon enough. If i was dead asleep , i dont know if that would be enough time for me to react?
You can adjust it to what suits your need👌👌
34 hours of brutal waves, my hats off to you friend.
That's living!
If I were you, seeking adrenaline, testing the limits and having a commercial gain from my adventures, I would not carry an epirb, satellite comm, etc. there is no point to involve others, for example the coast guard, in personal decisions with a high degree of risk. It’s not that the pub is boring, it is the rational and safe approach. If you die sailing, it is your path, don’t ask for helicopters to take you out of stormy weather. People that will wake up in the middle of the night to come for your rescue, if the case, have families and their own life. So just throw away your epirb (not in the water).
Den moderne Viking
Nice work. Just like the old videos.
Always a good watch thanks
Hmmm. Sailing gloves are actually cheap. $16 for a pair here in NSW, Australia. I've been using the same pair now for racing for 12 months.
Your matching wave-speed marvelously well! When your boat becomes a 40’ surfboard, you’ll get home just fine. Might stare at the ceiling for the next few nights, but you’ll be okay!!!
Unbelievable, i just found this channel and absolutely increadible, u r a real viking sir
Live every day like there's no tomorrow!... but be prepared, just in case. ;-)
This was an very spezial video...i am a sailor too from germany. I know These horrible Wales because last year i Was on Island. Half n houre sleep ist just an gift from Gott...good work
what can you do if it actually flipped there? Is there a way to turn it back?
Wait. It may right it self
Мужик, у тебя стальные яйца.🤝✊
Vikings gonna Viking.
I love your videos....outstanding. Please be safe Mr. Aaderaa.
do you have to make a lot of quick adjustments in direction and react fast to waves or it's simply hold on and pray?
I got sea sick watching the crossing . God Speed Erik
Dear Eric, thank you for your inspiring films. I hope that when the sanctions are lifted, I will also be able to come to the Viking festival on my little Albin Viggen! Please make more films, but be careful. It's like a breath of fresh air, like someone opened a window, especially when you're sitting in the office all day!
